About the Event

Partnering with the Plants with Rachel Weitz

“In some Native languages the term for plants translates to those who take care of us.”

― Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants

This  women's class will gather to engage respectful, nourishing, and  collaborative relationships with our Plant Elders. We will listen in  embodied presence to what the plants would like to show us. These wise  ones have the long view and know deeply about change, and they want to  support us as their younger kin. Partnering with the plants in a good  relationship helps us navigate the changing times we are living in with  more grace, wisdom, perspective, and can bring deep healing. The age-old  sacred relationship between plants and humans allows us to be in touch  with the divine wisdom all around and within us. These monthly meetings  will be an anchor and a touchstone to be able to ground and attune to  inner wisdom and the web of life in order to support our everyday lives  as we surf the ever changing landscape. In this class series, we explore practices that cultivate relationships  with the plant kin. Experience the unique and exquisite presence of each  plant that goes beyond what has been written. From the foundation of an  authentic relationship, we will engage the possibility for healing,  transformation and direct revelation. This course is for women who enjoy being outside with the plants,  connecting with community, and who have a desire to be in personal  relationship with the plant world. Herbal tea, plant infused snacks, and a medicinal treat will be provided  and will deepen our embodied experience of the plants. Tara  Lanich-Labrie of The Medicine Circle (themedicinecircle.com) will be blessing us with her magic and sharing plant inspirited snacks.
